Heart Care Foundation of India is a Not-for-profit National Non-governmental Organisation set up in 1986 by Late Col. K.L. Chopra and his wife Smt.
Pushpa Chopra and has patron-ship of new age guru Dr. Deepak Chopra.
The Foundation conceptualized and implemented low cost health awareness module based on infotainment.
The Foundation has many first to its credit. In the year 1991, it created first ever Run For the Heart and the Government of India released a national commemorative postal stamp of Rs. 1 to earmark the occasion. In 1993, it organized first ever Perfect Health Mela and, again, Government of India earmarked the occasion by releasing a Rs. 6.50 national commemorative postal stamp.
In 2012, it organized first ever mega health check-up camp at Ajmer and Government of Rajasthan earmarked the occasion by releasing a State Post Cancellation Stamp.
The Foundation is known for organizing annual Perfect Health Mela and public education activities in the field of health.

It was floated by IJCP Group of Publication with contribution from Heart Care Foundation of India, World Fellowship of Religions.
It updates the knowledge of the medical fraternity on daily basis and has contributions from all across the country from medical fraternity.

IJCP Group of Publication was founded in 1991 in the form of first ever Indian Medical Journal, namely, Indian Journal of Clinical Practice.

Perfect Health Mela is an annual event of Heart Care Foundation of India which was started in the year 1993.
In its inaugural event, Government of India released a Rs. 6.50 national commemorative postal stamp.
It is a low cost public education and awareness module for public from all walks of life and from all sections of the society
incorporating all pathies under one roof using the media of infotainment.
Over 3 lakh members of the public visit it every year and take part in exhibitions, competitions, checkups and infotainment.
